Thank heavens! A way to get rid of stuffing & licking envelopes… at least the stamps are adhesive these days.

We received a postcard at our business and my boss was definitely impressed.

I recently listened to a webinar on Offline Marketing http://scrnch.me/xf9ex which included ‘Postcard Marketing’ which I have definitely taken an interest in to help with business promotions.

As for a list… If targeting local businesses your yellow pages directory has them all listed for you as does Google. Depends on your target market… If they have a nice big ad & just not a listing they know the benefits of advertising. Give it a try.

Dont forget to send out more than one posting to each business… mail gets lost and owners are busy… it just might have been missed.

I have not used the postcards yet, but your blog has definitely had me thinking of what areas I would want to use them in. I agree that they are a good way to advertise.

As far as percentage of response. It really depends on your mailing list. Because of some valuable testing, our group is getting a 1-3% sign up rate.

As for the cost of a typical mailing campaign say mailing 1000 postcards, again it depends on your sources. Our price breakdown looks like this

1000 names of income opp buyers $150
1000 printed postcards $70
1000 cards mailed $280

Hey Glen thanks for the comment. I understand that postcards may not
be as cheap to mail there in Canada, but that is just one of the advantages of postcards. Take printing for instance. a simple 2 color postcard has been proven in some markets to pull much better than the full color glossy ones. and they are much cheaper to print. Also as a stand alone mailing piece, postcards stand out. Anyway good luck with your mailing campaign.

Interesting idea.

Unfortunately, here in Canada, Postcards are as expensive to mail as regular mail. So direct mail campaigns using inserts are the closest we can come to this idea.

I usually look at the postcards I get in the mail. I have thought of using them, but never thought I could afford direct mail campaigns.

What is the % of return on them? Is there any time of average?
